Steel Manhole hole steps are made of steel-reinforced rigid copolymerized polypropylene plastic, designed and manufactured to provide maximum product safety and service life under the harshest on-site conditions.
Initially, the plastic Ma Industries Steps consisted of steel bars encapsulated in copolymer polypropylene plastic. However, the requirements of customers and design engineers over the years have prompted us to provide other types of core steel bars. The result of this is that we provide two levels of optional reinforcement.

There are three grades of 1/2 inch (13 mm) diameter deformed steel bars;
1) 1/2" stainless steel reinforcement by ASTM A 955 is an option,
2) 1/2" epoxy resin coated ASTM A 615 Gr 60 steel bar as an option and
3) 1/2" ASTM A 615 Gr 60 steel bar is used as standard.

Copolymer polypropylene has proven to be a material with excellent corrosion resistance in extreme environments. DEKO utility hole steps are made of ultra-high impact grade copolymer polypropylene. This material exhibits excellent cold shock resistance and high rigidity.
